Recommended by R.A.W.!(Rising Artists’ Works) of China Shanghai International Arts Festival.

Voted Top Ten Chinese Experimental Theatre Works of the Last 30 Years by the Beijing News.

In early 1990s China, a man (the so-called Zhou Ping) met and fell in love with a beautiful lady (the so-called Fan Yi). Their relationship was seen by the young housekeeper, who was enticed by the man and has been pregnant for months. Living in different conditions, these two young ladies desired the same love from the man, while the tragic destiny is also the same.

This work Thunderstorm 2.0, with a crew shooting a movie live on the stage, aggressively overturned the conventional way of performing and watching theatre in China. Questions have been raised towards further development of the multimedia approach. The Director Chong Wang is one of the finalists of China Shanghai International Arts Festival’s R.A.W! (Rising Artists’ Works) commissionning program 2012.
