節目介紹
In their permanent search for a new language capable of fusing techniques used in theatre and film, the Chilean company La Troppa has become Teatro Cinema. With Sin Sangre (Without Blood) , their debut production, they adapt Alessandro Baricco’s novel about one girl’s quest for revenge and healing–to include, among its readings, a metaphor for Chile as it confronts its past between desire for revenge and need of forgiveness. Synopsis A tranquil evening at the farm of Mato Rujo. Suddenly, three armed men appear and ambush the small country house. Manuel Roca, trapped, hides his little daughter Nina in order to save her, but he can do nothing to spare the life of his young boy... nor his own.
The gunmen are after him for revenge, not justice. Once the slaughter concludes, Tito, the youngest of the killers finds the girl in her hideaway. Something inexplicable prevents him from calling his fellow murderers. The killers walk away after burning the house down. Decades later, the girl has survived and turned into a mature and ruthless avenger. There is only one target left in order to conclude her mission. When that woman approaches him, he understands his time has come. But they talk, and the conversation breaks up a dam of histories and interpretations. Alessandro Baricco "Alessandro Baricco’s novels inhabit a country between myth and surrealism, marked by an understated poetry and an existential black humour. […] Whether Nina has sought Tito to kill him or forgive him remains hidden until the final page, but the climax comes as a visceral shock. Contained in these few pages is a complete portrait of what it means to be human, at our most elemental, and the effect is awesome." —The Observer (London) Compañía Teatro Cinema"During the year 1987 we founded our company and named it La Troppa (The Troop) after the certainty of being a troop of artists marching across the demolished horizons of the cultural decay that our country had been pushed to. Our productions were appreciated worldwide by thousands in North and South America, Europe and Asia. During 2006, we re-founded our Company as Teatro Cinema, our goal creating the illusion of travelling through time and space, generating vertiginous stories which can virtually escape the four concrete walls of a theatre". "Our new production, Sin Sangre (Without Blood), will inaugurate a new language in theatre, merging in scene the criteria, techniques and ways of theatre and cinema precepts. It will certainly be, for the audiences, surprising and confusing, but also an opportunity for them to plunge into the very sense of life and time. Our esthetical goal is to create a fusion (con-fusion) of virtuality and corporeity; to make the frontiers between cinema and theatre somewhat diffuse and uncertain". Free Lectures
