「The Box」 (La Boîte) was developed by the Taiyuan Puppet Theatre Company together with the Compagnie des Zonzons over a period of two years. The main focus of the play is a huge two-storey box, this box is a piece of installation art that can turn and provides both a stage for actors and puppeteers, as well as projection and shadow performance screen. The Box in a magical wonderland, where two completely different traditions from East and West meet and act out a love story between two people and two puppets. This fascinating visual spectacle is accompanied by live musicians from Taiwan and France performing on western and Asian instruments.
